Caramel Contemplation

Ramblings of a legend in the making...

Following on from Part I of my inspirational hip hop song list, here are my top 10 inspirational hip hop songs. If ever you lack the necessary confidence to go out into the world and kill it, I strongly recommend the next 10 tracks to get you up and on your way.

Drake ft. Kanye West, Lil Wane & Eminem- Forever
"Everyone who doubted me is asking for forgiveness"

T.I. ft. Rihanna- Live Your Life

Lupe Fiasco- The Show Goes On
"That you struggling and survivin', that you gonna persevere"

Eminem- Lose Yourself
"Success is my only motherfucking option, failure's not"

Kanye West- Can't Tell Me Nothing
"And you can live through anything if magic made it"

50 Cent- If I Can't
"This is God's plan homie, this ain't mine"

Big Sean ft. Chris Brown- My Last

Talib Kweli ft. Jay-Z & Busta Rhymes- Get By (Remix)

"If I don't grind, I don't shine, if I don't shine then I don't eat, if I don't eat then Imma starve and if Imma starve I pull heat"

Of course, it would just be unpatriotic of me if I didn't include some South African hip hop in this list. I am a huge fan of SA hip hop and revel in the talent that we have in this country. With that being said, here is a short list of South African hip hop songs that inspire me to new heights.

Tuks- 525 600 Minutes
"525600 minutes, how do you measure a life"

Reason- Do It Like I Can
"Player with words like poets on a soccer pitch"

Zubz- Stereotype

AKA- All I Know
"I rather die on my feet then try to live on my knees"

Khuli Chana ft. JR- No More Hunger

IV League ft. AKA- I Want It All
"You can have whatever you like if you can dream it"

Reason- No Sleep
