The Naked Truth
Lumpy thighs, thick arms, a flabby tummy, cellulite, stretch marks, jiggly bits... The list seems endless. Women have the tendency of complaining about any imperfection on their body without the realization that being unique is sexy. While watching the Dr. Oz show the other day I was intrigued by the topic of women who have never been naked in front of their husbands and it got me to thinking- why are we so scared to show off our bodies? I know, I know, let's cue in the bit about media and photoshopped images of impossibly perfect people but at some point we need to realize that variety is the spice of life. If we all looked the same, the world would be boring and completely unsexy! That is why we need to embrace our bodies and realize that despite all our flaws, we are all sexy in one way or another. In a recent survey conducted by Dr. Laura Berman, it was found that men actually prefer fuller-figured women while women think that men actually prefer the skinnier variety. This experiment proved that women have the wrong idea of what men like and it is this very misconception that leads to low self-esteem. One way to overcome this is to insert pink- or red-coloured light bulbs in the bedroom. In this way, a dim, flattering light is used and thus allows one to feel less self-conscious in the presence of their partner.
Another way to overcome body issues is to wear lingerie. Start with a corset or something that covers most of your body and slowly work towards skimpier items such as g-strings and thongs. In this way, one makes a gradual transition from being almost fully clothed to being naked.
Lastly, walk around the house naked when possible to allow you to become comfortable with being naked. The sense of freedom that comes with being in your birthday suit will allow you to experience the brighter side of going bare. As a bonding exercise, this should be done with your partner in order to make both of you comfortable with each other's nakedness. It will also spice things up in the bedroom in the long run.
To all my ladies out there, you are beautiful and perfect the way you are. And if you are a guy and you're reading this, recognise the goddess that lies within your lady!
