Caramel Contemplation

So the annual MTV Music Awards went down last night at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. And even though I did not get to watch the live feed of the show, I did catch up on all the "special" moments today. Although I would have loved to be at home for just one night so I could sit up all night catching the show on MTV, I guess I just had to settle with having to surf the net for hours trying to find out exactly what happened. Sure, it was nothing like the VMAs of 2009 with Kanye's outburst or like last year with Lady Gaga's meat dress but the 2011 VMAs did have their moments. Here is a summary of the highlights:

-Beyonce revealed her pregnancy to the world (I'm sure those people who give a damn are overjoyed)
-Lady Gaga proved that she would make a hideous man 
-Chris Brown lipsynched through his entire performance (nothing new there)
-Kanye West and Jay Z performed Otis (Ooh, how exciting! NOT!)
-Justin Beiber thanked everyone except Youtube (ungrateful brat!)
-Adele almost killed me by singing "Someone Like You" AGAIN! (My neighbors have performed it enough!)
-Bruno Mars payed homage to Amy "Wino" Winehouse by performing "Valerie" to the delight of fans all over the globe

Last night's show was memorable not for it's outrageous moments but for it's fashion. I will be following up with my hits and misses. Let me know what you thought of the VMAs and keep safe. Peace!
